After a ‘short’ break, Nicosia Uncut is back with Andromachi Sophocleous and Kemal Baykalli. Months before his term is over, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres visited Cyprus to energize the Cyprus talks for a 5+1 conference. After meeting leaders, representatives of civil socety as well as technical committees and talking to the Guarantor powers, he has announced that they have agreed for a 5+1 conference to take place. He explained that he expects progress on confidence building measures, methodology and content in order to make sure 5+1 becomes a success. No date has been set. Andromachi and Kemal discuss what this means for Cyprus.
